Replacement tubing for GE gas grill

Need to replace stainless steel “U” tubing part #WB02X10380 from GE Monogram model ZGG48L42YSS. Original part comes with brass/copper flair collett to keep permanent nut aligned with tubing upon connection/installation. Attached are two pics. Please compare and advise. Thanks.

I do not really understand your question.
Do not see a collett.

Looks to me that all you need are the nuts and ferrules for the tubing.

If you call the ferrules the brass/copper ringlet that keeps the nut from sliding off, then thats my error. So my question remains, aside from welding everything together which would be more money and time spent. Is there a part that exactly matches my original factory installed part? The nut and ferrules are not on the GE parts list/schematic. Are these common items to find at a hardware/plumming supply outlet? Thanks.

Yes there is a nut and two ferrules (a rear and a front). You put all three on the tubing, bottom the tubing out in the male fitting and tighten the nut. This then compresses the ferrules onto pipe making a gas tight seal.

Not that I know of and this is more of an appliance site. There is not even a BBQ section.

You could try there they will be in the furnace repair section.
Also could try a local furnace repair or gas supplier.

Thanks for the info Denman. The above picture does not show the ferrule well enough but it is doughnut shaped and seems to be indented, recessed or crimped into the steel tubing. Is there a special tool for a DYI project or should I leave this to the professional?

No special tool that I know of.

You just have to make sure you put the ferrules on correctly and you get the tubing pushed all the way into the receiving fitting. Then tighten up the nut.

Always a good idea to check the connections with soapy water after doing this.

Ok, thanks so much. Have a nice day.
