Bought a washer from a lady who said it was leaking out of the front. I replaced the Dowell front seal today which went fine. Turned it on with nothing in it and it rinsed and drained no water on the floor. Put a towel in it to give it a go and I got a weird sound followed by burnt plastic. I can see now that when the washer tub has weight it seems to be melting the Dowell seal. I hope installed it while it still maintains a seal. But not sure what to do next… Belt seems to be turning fine but I can hear a sound that sounds like a bad pulley?
