Hi - can anyone give me some instructions on how to replace the motor-pump assembly.
Thanks,
Russ
Hi Russ,
You can find the complete instructions attached to this reply.

Hi Gene:
Thanks for the parts link. Replacing the whole motor-pump assembly seemed pretty easy - but we still have a problem - read below:
Our dishwasher motor was making a lot of grinding noises and then it finally seemed to die - stopped washing, no grinding noise. So the repair person we called said we should replace the motor and pump assembly. We ordered from this site and did it our selves. However, once the water fills up - it doesn’t start washing, sort of acts like the old one we just replaced.
So the questions are did we make some sort of mistake or is there another part we should replace.
Thanks for your help.
Russ
Hopefully someone can answer my question - It was suggested that I had reversed the wire connector - though I don’t think it is possible so my question is:
does the yellow wire on the motor go to the green wire from the dishwasher and does the blue wire on the motor go to the black/red wire from the dishwasher
Thank-you
Russ
A green wire on any appliance is ground and the motor wires are not suppose to be connected to ground. As you can see from the wiring diagram (attached earlier) the dishwasher Red/Black wire is connected to the Violet motor wire and the dishwasher Blue wire is connected to the Yellow motor wire.
After you disassemble anything you have to assemble it back in an exact reversed order unless something else has been specified in installation instructions.
If you did connect the motor to the green wire then it could cause damage to the motor.

Sorry to sound clueless but after playing with the connector it seems to me you can only plug it in one way,
the wires-metal pin configuration on the motor are
using the writing on the motor as reference of left to right
extreme left: pin 1 no wire
pin 2 yellow wire
pin 3 black wire
extreme right: no pin on position 4 blue wire
The way the connector from the dishwasher is constructed:
Green wire is going to pin 1 of motor or nothing
violet-white wire is going to pin 2 of motor or the Yellow Wire
violet-red wire is going to pin 3 of motor or the Black Wire
and nothing is going to the blue wire on the motor
Again the way I see it There is no way the connector can even be forced to reverse the order - just wouldn’t go the other way even if you try to force it.
Please review with me, again thanks for putting up with me and these colors. (What I thought was Black with a different light seems to be Violet). But I’m sure of the colors this time.
The problem is I can not see the wiring and the plugs in your dishwasher. The only information available to me is your descriptions and the diagrams and schematics published online.
Lets start it over.
Does it make any noise after it fills with the water? What is shown on the control panel?
If it’s silent then unplug the motor harness plug and measure the voltage between the pins 2 & 3 on the dishwasher plug while the control calls for the wash.
Post the results.
Gene.
