Replace ignitor on old Roper wall oven

I would like to buy part AP3104565 to replace the ignitor on our old Roper oven. It broke about 4 years ago, was replaced, and worked great ever since, until about a week ago. My husband wants to try to install it himself to save money. I see there are some instructions to install ignitors, but I am worried that they may not apply to our oven, since it is so old. Any special considerations?

On another parts website, I found a replacement part that had a connector on the side of the ignitor (metal with holes in it for the screws), but ours is connected from the back. This model does not seem to have any connecting metal pieces, so I guess it just gets put into the panel we already have.

Thank you to anybody who can help.

You found the right part number your oven igniter. It is direct replacement part recommended by the manufacturer and it comes with a few brackets needed for proper installation. You have to remove the oven floor to access the igniter.
