So I ordered a replacement bake unit element for model JBP77GV3AA, GE electic stove. Got the part today. The invoice identify the part from AppliancePartsPros.com as WB44x5082.
I removed the broken part and replaced. I noticed there were 2 black wires and 1 yellow wire.
I used the two black wires but frankly did not know where the yellow terminal came from or what it is for.
Okay, disregard the yellow wire for the moment and we will guess that it might be a green ground wire.
Everything works: the surface light works and the overn heats. BUT THE OVEN DOES NOT HEAT UP ENOUGH TO COOK ANYTHING.
So is everyone sure I was sold the right heating element part or do I need to take it apart again and see of there is a connection/reconnection problem. Or, are we talking about some other problems.
