Removing motor cover from oscillating fan

I am trying to remove the oscillating fan cover but have 2 dials that i cannot remove in order to slide the motor cover out and replace the electrical cord that has been damaged. See photos attached… I removed all visible screws around it. I suspect they (dials) just need to be snapped out but I’m afraid they may be broken if this is not the case.

This is a well built fan and would hate to have to toss it for just a bad electrical cord rather than the motor giving out. Thank you in advance.

Edit 1: the electrical cord wire is beneath the motor.

I found the solution. Eventually they (dials) just pop out outwards with pressure. :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess as a rule of thumb, if there are no more screws to unscrew, its by brute force.
