Removing Maytag Electric Range Cooktop

[SIZE=2][FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]I just received my Electronic Clock Unit today that I ordered from the Appliance Parts Pros. I’ve removed the lower screws on the panel, but I can’t figure out how to get the cook top up. I’ve read on several posts here about retaining clips and screwdrivers, but I haven’t been able to locate them. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Gene you’re a Gentleman and a Scholar! Your tip is just what I needed. Armed with your instructions the timer was installed in 15 minutes. I can’t thank you enough. At our next oven cooked meal we will toast to your long life and good health.

I’m glad you were able to fix it.

Happy New Year!

Gene.
