I need to remove the control panel
I am in the process of replacing the control board on a Kenmore wall oven that is also more than 10 years old. To get to the control board you have to open up the control panel. I can tell you how I opened up the control panel. Perhaps it is the same for your wall oven:
- turn off power to oven
- remove molding on sides of oven doors. open up the lower oven door and remove screws that attach to molding. pull down on molding and it will come off exposing screws that attach the control panel.
- grasp control panel from bottom and lift up. the control panel will hinge down.
- before working on control panel, touch your hand to a metal part of oven to remove any static electricity.
- take lots of pictures and notes prior to taking anything out.
hope this helps
Thanks.
How do I remove the trim? I see no screws.
Jon
Hi Jon,
Sorry again for the mix-up. I hope you saw my second post which indicated that the removal process was for a Kitchenaid, not a Kenmore stove.
