Remove Thermador Cooktop

I am trying to remove the SGSCV36GB cooktop so I can replace the potentiometers. Can some one give me step by step instructions on how to do this. I can’t get the venturi off. I have used PB Blaster to loosen them, but they are are still tight and I think I might be missing something.

Thanks

Same problem I have with same cooktop. Cant figure out how to access under cooktop lid . Brass nut would be tough to reconnect according to schematics.

Is the venturi ring the hexogonal center of the burner?

I too am looking for a way into the tin can.

Same problem here, and yet another post… maybe someone will have a tip.

It sounds so easy, but as I posted before, my venturi bolts are stuck pretty tight. So tight I was using a large Easy Out to turn the thing. This worked - BUT - I only broke the small cast iron bracket beneath the cook top, the nut below is just turning with the venturi.

Does anyone know of an avenue I might pursue to find a way of holding the nut still? I’m loath to call any lo[/B]cal tech; I’m afraid they won’t have enough working knowledge of Thermador, only to make a house call and tell me there’s nothing they can do.

Those are tricky to get off.

This video shows several ways to get them off
