Refrigerator water dispenser stopped working

Main Symptom: Water dispenser suddenly stopped working midstream as I was getting water.
What happens & when: No water come out and makes a hammer noise. Dispenser does work without filter but stops when filter is inserted

I have tried two brand new filters, and it still doesn’t dispense

In that case, the bypass in the filter head is not opening and closing properly. the problem has to be in the filter housing.DA97-14655C Refrigerator Water Filter Case Assembly | Genuine Samsung OEM In Stock

Good advice on the filter holder. Worked on mine. Issue sounds exactly the same. Seems impossible but a new holder worked and it was an easy install.
