Main Symptom:Thermostat strangeness
What happens & when:
Whirlpool made 33" wide side by side with no icemaker.
On the “recommended setting”, the freezer gets down to about zero.
On the fridge side, the recommended setting put the fridge about 36 degree when the fridge was new. Now to get to 36, I have to turn it up to 5.
I don’t think that it is a compressor or refrigerant problem (I may be wrong) because it doesn’t have an issue holding the temp and the compressor isn’t running any more than it did when new.
So the question for the day is, is it possible that the thermostat is wonky and that’s why I have to turn it up to a higher number to get the same temp?
