Refrigerator Door handle broke. NEED HELP PLEASE

Main Symptom: Door handle broke off
What happens & when: Hello, I have owned this refrigerator for just over 10 years. The door handle broke off a few months ago. The model number I put above is definitely correct. Based on my research, the replacement door handle is part #DA 97-12054A. HOWEVER, my contractor looked at it and stated that it won’t fit in the current refrigerator bracket (the bracket already attached to the fridge). Attached are pictures of the bracket and the new I handle I bought. The two do not appear to fit together. I, for the life of me cannot figure out what bracket needs to be purchased to replace the current bracket. Given I apparently received the right part, can someone please assist? Thanks

PS: This is the door handle that broke off, so it’s likely my contractor is correct. It doesn’t appear to be a fit. Also, I had this happen several years ago and home warranty replaced the handle. Perhaps they replaced it with a different handle part #

This model had 2 different styles of door handles depending on the revision. The part # you are looking for is DA99-03738D which is a kit of 2 handles that have the inserts for the clip-on type fasteners like yours. The handles of this type are only sold in a kit, not individually.
