Refrigerator door does not automatically close

The door no longer self closes; would this be the cam or the alignment. If it is the cam, how do I know if I need upper or lower?

Its probably the cam. I’d replace both parts while you’re doing it. Also put a little grease on the hinge pins and cams.

Refrigerator Door Cam (part #WPW10329686)-How To Replace

Thank you, I loved the video. I have ordered the parts. These directions were for a whirlpool and I have a kitchenaid. The kitchenaid video shows removing the door completely; can i do it the way you did and keep the door in place? The kitchenaid also shows replacing a cam on top and bottom; what is your thought?

That’s not me in the video. I’m just a guy that’s trying to help out. I don’t have anything to do with this site and I don’t get paid.

Just trying to help. Its about the only thing I can still do.

On All coolers there should be two rollers or legs in front. You get some help and raise the front & you should be able to see the jack screws that adjusts the feet. Just screw the screws to LOWER the feet to raise the front and the door should close by gravity.
