I’m having problems with my refrigerator ever since we had a storm in the area. I wasn’t home that day but when I returned I noticed that the refrigerator was on but it wasn’t working, so I unplugged it and went to check the breaker, everything seemed ok so I plugged it back on, after that the refrigerator seemed to be working properly until 8 to 10hr later it began to blow warm air the freezer began to defrost and the refrigerator got warm. I disconnected the unit for 2 hrs. but the whole process repeats itself, everything works great for about 10 hours then is back to warm air and defrosting. Any ideas as to what might be the cause of this problem. Help!!
Most probably a bad motherboard, AP4436216.Evaporator fan motor should never run during defrost.
can it be anything else besides the motherboard… Is just that the fridge works fine for 8-10 hours then it starts to blow hot/warm air and if you touch the inside wall of the fridge they are very warm.
The motherboard controls most functions in the fridg. It contains the drivers and microcomputer to control the evaporator fan motor.
