Our dryer started to make a horrible screeching rattling noise and my husband decided it had to do with the drum seal and replaced that. Now when we tried to use it, it make a rattling noise, not constant but like more, less, more, less - rhythmic. He sent me online to try to find a schematic or parts diagram, but I can’t find anything anywhere. What could be causing the rattle and where can I find a parts diagram? Thanks!
The sound is coming from inside the dryer (drum area), not the top area and is pretty loud. How could the timer cause this?
Here is a wiring diagram for you.

Here are parts breakdowns

It will not be the timer.
Check that the blades inside the drum are tight.
A rattle is often the rear support rollers. Check that the rubber roller itself is OK and that the bearing/shafts are OK. Also check that the drum surface where the rollers ride is clean and that the drum is not cracked.
Screeching is often the idler roller, front glides or the motor’s bearings.
But by the sound of where the noise is coming from (back, rear, bottom) I would put my money on the support rollers.
