I know that the Haier products are junk and it is stupid that they want me to buy a $300 compressor to replace this $6 part is there anyone that can help with this. It is a small black box with one wire going to it that hooks onto the start and run windings. The schem. calls it a PTC. Thanx Kevin:confused:
there has to be 2 wires going to the compressor, other wise it wont have a complete circuit.
There is the other wire hooks to the overload and then to the common terminal of the compressor

The PTC unit that hooks onto the start and run windings is bad and comp wont start it goes off on overload. I have 2 of these fridges so I swaped it out for the working one but now I have 2 fridges and only one PTC. Do you know if there is something I can replace it with because manuf. discontinued the part and wants me to buy the whole comp. to get that $5 part.
