I opened the top to retrieve the broken belt, but I am not sure of how the proceedure goes to replace it.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance, Dave
I forgot to ask if there are any accomanying parts I need for belt replacement…Dave
No other tools or parts are needed.
Take off the front by unhooking the door switch and taking out the two screws that hold it on and lifting it up.
Put on the new belt, and reach in on the right to loop it around the idler pulley and then the motor pulley. Consult the sticky at the top of this page for a diagram of how it goes.
Good luck.
Thanks,
In the parts list it gave a part number for the idler and pulley along with the belt being superceeded by a narrower 4 rib version.
Dave
As long as you have it open it is a good idea to replace the idler pulley and the drum rollers if you are so inclined. The drum will lift out to get to the rollers and the pulley. The replacement belt should work just fine.
Ok Thanks!:d
