Problem replacing washer timer part WP22003362

What happens & when: always (only delicate cycle works)

Trying to replace washer timer part WP22003362. No screws included. Have tried all sizes of screw and nothing fits. Looked in screw holes and see they are not machined at all (no threads). Is this part faulty?

The screws that are on the original one would be the correct screws. The timer is not machine threaded and the screws are self threading.
