Portable Dishwasher Faucet Attachment?

I was given a portable dishwasher with a butcher block on top for free. The guy claimed it worked. The only problem is, I have no idea how to attach it to my faucet. It seems as if everything is in tact; the electrical outlet, the ‘insides’ of the actual dishwasher, and the faucet connector. But, I can’t connect the dishwasher to my faucet. am I missing a piece? when I try to connect it to the faucet, the black tube with a plastic connector piece doesn’t latch on to the faucet.
As you can tell, I have no idea what to do. any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Would this work if I wanted to connect a “normal” under the counter dishwasher? I ask because my countertops are too low for my dishwasher to fit under. I have a Fisher and Paykel (2 drawer style) dishwasher. Here is a link to the newest version of the dishwasher but the installation looks the same as what I had before when installed under the counter.
