When it is rainy or even humid outside our oven will not work.
The ignitor will click the gas will come through it will turn on but the ignitor will keep clicking and then the gas will shut off. Usually it will click about 4 times, that how I can tell if we are going to have microwave pizza or order out.
This is really frustrating and I am ready to ditch this thing.
Can you post your model number off the range?
Nat
I can not find the manual, its a whirlpool accubake
Is it listed on the stove somewhere?
Is this a built in oven or a free standing range?
Free standing
Ok, you should find a tag with the model number on it. Open the storage drawer and look on the frame usually on the left side. If it’s not there raise the top and look on the bottom plate.

Does it do the same thing on broil?
It did not until today. I tried turning the broiler on to “dry up” the oven to see if it would turn on then. But the broiler did the same thing. If its low humidity or if we have the air or heat on in the house it starts right up.
If both the bake & broil are doing that when it’s humid. It sounds like the moisure in the air is somehow getting into the control board, part #AP3045887)
You might want to get into the control panel and check for loose wires A& corrosion.
Do you get any error codes?
Nat
No error codes, ever. My husband has the cover on the back off, is there something we should look for?
Look at all the connections make sure they are tight and no corrosion of any kind. A regular pencil eraser works good for cleaning contacts.
Natalie
Everything looks like new back there, he looked at the connections and used an eraser. But it still won’t stay on.
I would have to say it’s the control board/clock is the problem, everythng on the wiring diagram runs thru there.
If you can check the wires going to the ignitor and valve as well might be a good idea. A(Don’t touch the ceramic part of the ignitor with bare hands, oil from your fingers will mess it up)

My accubake is the same way. New igniter?
