My GE Oven/Microwave Combination turns itself on by itself, someties in the middle of the night. After three incidents, I decided to turn off the breaker because it might turn on when no one is home. This is a old oven, about 17 years old but seldom used, this started happening about twom months ago. I have not consulted any professional about it. What do you think and What parts do I need, this age of ovem do you think parts are still available?
I’m assuming you are talking about the oven (the lower part of the unit). In such situation the problem most likely is a bad oven control board (#28 on the diagram). This part is still available and you can order it from Appliance Parts Pros.
