The oven previously would not shut off and I replaced the thermostat that I purchased through Appliance parts pro. The oven still overheats and does not shut off properly when it reaches the correct temperature.
How much is the actual oven temperature out?
Was the thermostat’s sensor bulb properly mounted in the oven cavity and it was not damaged in the process?
Any sharp bends in the thermostat’s capillary tubing could damage it irreparably likely resulting in the control never regulating the oven burner at all. Although it may look like just a wire, it is actually tubing which if collapsed would render the control inoperable.
