Oven repair needed

GE Profile model. FO displays on the keypad. Beeps intermittantly. Can reset by turning off at fusebox.

Does that fault code display even when not in use or only after heating a while?

The fault code seems to happen reguardless if the oven is hot.

If even while not in use at all, that should at least help to track down the cause.

An F0 fault code on your make usually indicates a problem in either the control keypad (its buttons) or the electronic control (ie circuit board) itself. It is sometimes possible to narrow down which by disconnecting one for the other and seeing if it returned.

If the error code did NOT return while the keypad was disconnected, the keypad would be suspect and would likely require the control panel (see the following link) to be replaced.

If the error message displayed even while the keypad was disconnected from the control, it should rule out the keypad as causing it leaving the electronic control as the most likely suspect.

I have the same symptoms, and according to every appliace tech that has come to check out the problem, well lets just say the results are or have been the same…REPLACE 1) TOUCH PANEL 2) REPLACE THE ERC. I have been on pretty much every possible forum that there can be, some helpful others not.

I have replaced the touch panel, ERC, oven sensor and both the heating elements to the broiler and oven. Have left the oven unplugged for 2 days and can not reset the F0, will not reset. One expert even told me to check the outlet for a floating neutral, which I don’t have. Advise given to me was to check for a potential short, from the ERC to the main wire harness. Just tired of putting money into a GE money PIT. So my question is does anyone know how to get a hold of a wiring circuit for the ERC? The one I have is of poor quality. GE Profile Model JGS968 ERC Model WB27T1O405. Rather extensive troubleshooting going on here, everything else checks out fine. Oven, Broiler and Convection temperatures come up fine, after a few resets (unplugging the unit from the wall ), touch pad works after every try. The one thing I haven’t replaced yet is the thermal switch. It opens at 275 and closes when the temperatures cool down below 190?

In a nut shell have not been able to operate the oven since everything has been replaced with new parts. Heck I’ll even get the F0, when the oven is not in use.
