What happens, especially when the humidity is high is that the probe light displays on the panel, and there is a continual beeping. It usually stops if I put the probe in but then the oven doesn’t heat properly and turns off when it reaches the probe temp of 180 or whatever.
Andreasee,
You need to check and make sure the meat probe jack mounting nut on the oven wall is good and tight. Is the jack cover missing ? Hi humidity and hi heat can cause the probe jack to malfunction. In a lot of cases, some people have the probe assembly disconnected from the control, you may want to try getting a metal cover cap and install it on the probe jack in the oven, to keep the humidity and high heat out of the jack assembly.
Thanks,
There is a cover over where the probe plugs in and it seems to be secure. It’s acting up now. I turned on the oven to 400. It started to beep and displayed the probe icon and turned itself off. It displays this error code F4:E1 this is a Kitchenaid KGST307HBS4. Andrea
Andreasee,
Thanks for the update,
If the probe and cover are tight to the oven wall, then your issue is in the probe jack or wiring.
Good Luck,
