Is the appliance accepting input for higher temperatures or is it not reaching proper temperature when it is set to a higher temperature?
It does not reach any temperature above 375 degrees even when set on 400 degrees.
Is there a test or way to determine if it is the temperature sensor vs the controlling circuit board that is causing this problem?
Actually the oven belongs to a friend of mine and I just made an inquiry to determine if she has ever tried to set it above 400 degrees. She has not. Therefore the oven might just need a calibration. What is the proper procedure to calibrate this particular oven? If the calibration fails to resolve the issue, is there a test or way to determine if it is the temperature sensor vs the appropriate electronic module that is causing this problem?
From what I see in the use and care guide starting on page 12, the setting function would need to be entered followed by the help selection. This should give access to the adjust thermostat function.

Thanks! This looks like just what I need to recalibrate. Hopefully that will do it and it is not the sensor or especially not the electronic module. She lives about 30 minutes away and is traveling out of town for Thanksgiving so I will not be able to recalibrate until after Thanksgiving. Any other thoughts will be appreciated. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!!
Aside from that, things to look out for are how much time is being allowed for the oven to heat up, how is the temperature being identified (oven thermometer or just what is displayed), and if the heat cycle peak and low points are being averaged out. The oven sensor can be tested for resistance and it should measure around 1100 Ohms at room temperature. The resistance should increase by 2 Ohms for every 1 degree it warms up. This information can help identify if there might be a control board issue or not.
Thanks. All good information. My friend did test the oven after my last telephone conversation with her and from those results it appears a recalibration will solve the problem. By the way, she is using an oven thermometer to compare with the temperature being displayed. Again, thanks for all the very helpful info.
