oven has quit working, the the clean cycle will work. i have taken the igniter out plug it into 110 volts it glows bright red almost white
can the igniter still be bad??
What happens when you turn the oven on and set it to BAKE? Does the igniter start to glow?
nothing, only the clean cycle will work ran that also
Set the control to bake, check the schematic, and check the bake output wire from the control, if no voltage, you probably have a bad control module. Before replacing, check the resistance of the oven sensor, if way off it’s room temperature resistance( should be around 1Kohm) replace it. Click on your
Model # to get the part #.

lol
got around to measuring the ohms on the digtal meter it reads .22 k ohms
Sounds bad, just order a new one by clicking on your model # and getting the part #.

You changed the oven sensor or the igniter??

i think i read the ohms on the igniter and and posted, not the oven sensor!!!
took out the oven sensor it read 1000 ohms
couldn’t take the wife’s stares and comments any longer, gave in, called the repair man.yep it has a igniter in the bottom very well hid, he replaced it, oven working.see how long it takes to get a pie now!!!
In your post from 10/11/07 you wrought “the local maytag dealer had the igniter changed it out still want come on”. So the new igniter was bad or …
