I was told by a GE repair man that I needed a new computer and gave me a quote of over $350 for a new computer. Your company quoted me a corresponding computer for $219 and I purchased it and installed it on my oven.
The old GE computer has ten openings to the side of the window and your computer has ten openings: two on each side of the window and six at the bottom of it. The windows in your computer are cover by what appears to be a removable plastics.
The problem is that the bottoms to activate the different functions of the oven simply does not work.
The “window” is where you can see “88:88” and the openings are the ten squares at the bottom and sides of the window. No, I have not plugged the control panel ribbon cable into the control board slot. How you do that?
That means the key panel is not connected to the control board. How can they communicate?
You can see the slot on the right side of the control board on the upper picture. Carefully pull up the latch on top of the slot, plug the ribbon cable into the slot and push the latch down.
How did you disconnect the ribbon cable from the old control board?
