Oven and Broiler won't light

Hello,

I’ve been reading the posts here and have found several trouble shooting tips. My oven and broiler will not light. I hear clicking and gas flow but no ignition then it cycles off for a time then retries. Although it sounds like I have flow I checked the gas valve resistance and I come out with about 220 ohms to common on both terminals. Since the broiler igniter is easier to see we started the broiler and did not see any spark. Since I believe there is gas present I decided to try a manual start with a flame as we did in the old days. I turned on the broiler and held the flame to the burner and it fired up and continued to heat up. I suspect a possible faulty spark module but am leery to spend the $225.00 if I’m not correct. A new stove is 500.

Any thoughts or extra diagnostic steps would be appreciated.

Hi.

Most likely it’s the spark module AP6019728
