Late last week the outermost white safety glass (part # W10075980) on our Whirlpool oven (model SF362LXSQ) exploded…or burst. The oven is 3 years old. If I buy the part/glass can I install it myself. If so, what pointers do I need to know to install it correctly…so it isn’t unduly pressured, yet secure, and also placed/secured in such a way that it is safe for those that live in the house. I have heard it said that this glass tends to shatter just from pressure build up over the years…any truth to this. Anyway, please offer the info I need to replace this glass…by myself if possible.
I’m afraid I can find no listing for the model number you originally supplied for your message. I assume the second one you supplied in your message text is correct SF362LXSQ

I’m afraid I have no idea of your abilities but most reasonably handy persons should be able to perform such a task.
It’s possible although strikes against it (even ones that don’t immediately break it) are most often a cause of breakage IMO.
Reference the owner’s manual on how to correctly remove the door from the range to work on it. Other than that, there is no specific directions I can offer. It is usually a fairly straightforward job.
