Not getting hot water

Main Symptom:not getting hot or warm water
What happens & when:No matter what water temp I put the washer on the water is always cold.

Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried: I ordered a new water valve but that didn’t take care of the problem. I was running a normal cycle on warm water and switched it to hot water and I heard the water heater kick on. But there still wasn’t any warm/hot water. I took the hose off the back and it comes out hot from the hose. So it has to be something with the washer.

The only other parts involved with this are the temperature switch WPW10285518 and the main control W11654022, and there is no way to test which it is without replacing at least one of them.
