I have two problems with my GE dryer (model DBVH512EF1WW). The first is the very loud squeeking that takes place anytime I turn on the dryer. I believe it has something to do with the Rear Drum but I don’t know what part exactly I need for my dryer.
The other problem I am having is that none of the Sensor settings work on my dryer anymore. They haven’t for a while but my husband didn’t seem concerned because the timed part works fine. Since the timed dry works I can still dry clothes but I would love to have my other options back if I can figure out what part I need.
You should have two moisture bars either near the lint trap or inside the unit running parallel with each other clean them off with windex or take a piece of sandpaper to it they have gunk possibly on them. Best way to test if your moisture sensor setting are is to turn on your dryer with no clothes in it on the moisture sensor cycle, it should shut off in less then 15 minutes unless it’s the old fashioned dial type.
