Normal cycle time on dish washer increased from 60 min to 208 minutes

Not sure why, but yesterday the “normal” cycle time on my GE pdw9980n00ss increased from the typical 60 minutes to 208 according to the display on the top of the door. I attempted to reset the time by cycleing through the cycles, and even killed the power to the unit for over 5 minutes to reset it with no luck.

Any thoughts or comments?

Chuber,

Your problem could have been as simple as a low water temperature, sudsing, etc.

Your dishwasher “re programs” itself, while it’s operating based on inputs from the sensors in the circuitry.

Quite often, you can “re progam” the cycle, by running a complete cycle, empty, with no options chosen.

I’ve added some technical information, that should pertain toyour dishwasher.

Good Luck,
