Hi, check the basket by pushing down on it and then letting go. If the basket bounces several times instead of settling back into place, the suspension rods are worn and will need to be replaced. That would also explain the banging noise you’re hearing during the spin cycle.
The suspension rods are new and the tub doesn’t bang into the case. The noise only happens when it is agitating. It doesn’t make any noise when it spins. The nose sounds like a bearing but if it was, you would think it would make the same noise when it spins. Is it possible that the noise when it agitates is due to a slipping belt and the fact that it doesn’t drain completely is cause by the slipping belt?
