Did you ever find out what this was? Water inlet? I’m having the same problem.

What is the temperature in the freezer?
I had the same problem and heres what I found…
I first checked the silenoid that the outgoing lines are attached to. You have 1 water line comming in connected to a valve with 2 outlets. (1 to the freezer and 1 to the water) each 1 of them are operated by a switch. If that switch is bad then it will not send water to that paticular line. Now, mine worked! But I still didnt get water to the freezer. After making sure the temp was at least 17 degrees (it wont start producing ice until it is “cold” enough) I found that I actually had a kinked line where it was connected to the outlet in the back of the refridgerator. Now after straightening out the kink, I am getting perfect ice.
Hope this helps! Im not a technician just a doityourselfer.
