Maytag has died on me… apparently near the end of an actual cycle, since there was water left standing inside. Buttons are unresponsive and no lights or anything. I’ve had my wife check the circuit breaker and no problem there. I’m headed home now to take a further look, but where to start? I plan to open the bottom and verify power at the main connection… but am unsure where to go if that checks OK. Any further advice?
OK, I think it’s an easy fix… the thermal fuse is tripped. Not sure what caused it though, as everything else appears in order.
Often they just blow.
Be sure to use the new harness that comes with the replacement fuse.
