What else can we do to trouble shoot this problem before we resort to calling in a tech? The lint trap is clean, there is air coming out of the vent outside, there is no blockage in the hose…
The dryer generates no heat… It tumbles, air is moving out of the unit…

Check the fuses and thermostats with an ohm meter. It’s hard to recognize your exact dryer from the diagram but there is usually a one time limit / fuse / on the element that will stop the dryer from heating. You can also unplug the wires from the element and test that as well.
