I have lost my manual. I need to know how to covert my range to propane. Kitchen-aid or Sears told me how to do it but I forgot and there service to answer questions. I need to do it before the propane company comes on Monday.
BG,
I’ve attached the basic conversion information, from the service manual, for you.
And a Technical Note for accessing the top burner orifices.
You’ll need to turn off power and gas to the unit and remove from cabinet.

Yes thank you!!
BG,
Glad we got it to you in time,
Let us know how things went, we’d appreciate it,
Good Luck,
Well it went like this. The building inspector didn’t leave me a blue tag saying I passed. I can’t get in touch with him because government offices are closed today. So the gas company canceled until next week. More peanut butter and jelly.
So updates will begiven after next Tuesday. Unless some one cancels. LOL

BG,
Sorry to hear that,
I was hoping, for you.
We’ll keep an eye out for your update,
Bumping an old thread. Wanted to say thanks for this. I am trying to go from LP to NG on a Jenn Air JGS8850ADW so I try out these footnotes on accessing the burner orifices. Thank you. I will let you know how it works.
BTW thanks to appliancepartspro for the quick shipment of the new ECU controller (have to send it back - needed control panel instead) and the new control panel as that was what was wrong. Should have read the F1-8 codes clearer here to see that it was teh control panel not the ECU controller.

Mikie,
Make sure you drop us a line, when you’re through, include any hints or observances you made. Any and all information is very valuable to the APP Repair Forum.
Thanks,
We appreciate it,
Ok I took the top off, and got the orifices unscrewed from tight by 2.5 revolutions. Then read teh manual and said 2 revolutions. Will it hurt anything?
Also what do I have to do in the oven?
I took a couple pictures. I will post them up tonight.

Mike,
You’re doing fine, 2 to 2 1/2 revolutions won’t make a major difference, you 'll be fine, especially when you fine tune the fuel air mixture, if needed.
The bake and broil orifices are converted in the same manner, use a 1/2 in. open end wrench and adjust the orifice the same, as the top burner orifice.

Everything worked great. Got the stove installed Sunday. May move my gas line a bit as it hits the back of the range and I cannot put it as far back as I could.
Also I need to check that circuit as I turned on convection and the oven light and I tripped a breaker a bit after the fan started after warm up. May be a weak breaker. I have not had that large a load on that circuit before.
Any good suggestions for hiding the back gap where the stove does not meet the wall flush?

Mike,
Glad things are coming along well.
Hopefully it’s just a weak breaker or connection, there is a possibility that there could be a pinched wire from the cooling fan, and you may want to remove the back panel and check it first.
There was at one time an insert trim panel to fill in between the counter top and wall. 7706p009-60 is a part number, (if it’s still available) and may work for you.
