There should be an LED just above the cycle selection. The LED above each cycle is the preheat LED. Regarding the three beeps when preheat is complete, it is possible that there may be an issue with the oven control as I do not see a method to disable the tone.
Thanks. There is a light above the bake selection but it doesn’t go out. I wasn’tsure if that was the intended preheat light. I’m assuming the two are linked since the light doesn’t register that it’s preheated and there are no beeps. The oven does cycle and maintain temp just fine.
The interior light also doesn’t go on when you open the door either. You have to turn it on manually.
Based on a wiring diagram and a parts diagram, the light should only turn on when activated by the control. I do not see a door switch in either resource, which would be a part used to operate the oven light when the door is opened if this design allowed for it. When the oven reaches temperature, is an oven thermometer in the center of the oven matching close to what the displayed temperature shows?
The booklet says the light should come on automatically but maybe they changed it. I’ve seen that before.
Yes it gets up to temp well and the thermometer show a little high when set to 350. When the temp starts to drop the burners kick back on and bring it right back up to temp so I’m figuring it’s functioning just fine except for the preheat sensor not getting the memo to turn the indicator light off and to beep.
With the preheat light not illuminating and the indicator beep not occurring, replacing the main oven control would very likely get the range to operating as expected. However, it is common for the overlay to not transition well from an old control to a new one, so it is common for both the oven control and the overlay to be replaced at the same time.
