i put the new evaporator fan motor on plug in frig i dont hear it running
Is the compressor and it’s fan running?
If not then give it half an hour or so as you may be in a defrost cycle.
Is the reason you replaced the evaporator fan, that the old one was also dead?
Before you replaced the fan did you check that there was 120 volts across it?
Yes it was not running but no I didn’t check for 120
But I did short it out by trying to remove ice build up on it
I would check that there is 120 volts at the plug.
The compressor and its fan should be on when you do this.
When you shorted it out you may have blown the defrost board.
