Is this the same problem you were having with the old board? Have you calibrated the new board? What kind of error codes were you getting with the old board? The more information you can give me the better I canhelp you.

Hello David,

The problem with the washer was that it was stuck in the drain mode. When we unplugged the washer and pushed the start button we could wash another load. However, it would get stuck at the end of the cycle in the drain mode again even though there was no water.

My husband researched the problem and it indicated a new control board could fix the problem. When we installed the new board and hit start there was a big clunk then nothing. The lights on display never came on with the new board. We put the old control board back in the lights come on but we did not try to wash a load.

I am sending a tech sheet, on pages 3 and 4, it tells you how to recalibrate a new control board.
techsheet-WTW4915EW2.pdf (2.9 MB). It will also show how to pull up error codes, so you have a better understanding of what has failed.

I will have to wait for my husband to get home from work. I know we tried to calibrate the board but not sure if it was the new one or old. I will check with him.

I understand the trouble shooting. but Ido not understand why the new board does not work at least as go as the old one. If there is something wrong externally of the board why does it not preform as well as the old one. I can not calibrate the new board when the LED’s don’t. I can not pull error codes with no lights on. the clunk mentioned before was not a big one but just the sound of a solenoid tripping

If the old board lights up and the new one does not light up, it is either the wrong board or it is defective.
