Need to replace Whirlpool water filter housing

Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: WRX986SIHZ
Main Symptom: Ice maker not working and the water filter housing is not secured for the water filter
What happens & when: When replacing water filter, I realized the water filter isn’t clicking and loose as soon as I open the door of the water filer (water filter is located on top of inner area). I assume since the clicking isnt happening and the water filter isnt secured in that area, the ice maker isnt making ice. I have been trying to contact Whirlpool parts support but unable to get hold of anyone in last several days. I need to inquire about the part information that I can order as well as if there are any instructional videos that I can follow to replace it. I have been reading the previous posts on this forum but I am not sure if I need to replace the water tubes as part of housing replacement. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Faysals, it may be possible that a bracket in the housing could be broken and inspecting it would be recommended. This link provides a step by step video process in how to access the filter housing. This will allow an inspection to be done to identify if there is a broken bracket causing the filter to not lock into position. However, the water flow should still be able to pass through even if the filter is not locked in the upward position. Does water dispense out of the door when water is called for?
