We have replaced the timer in our electric dryer, but must not have it hooked correctly as it won’t cool down in the cool down cycle. I am looking for a diagram for replacing the timer so that I can make sure it is hooked up correctly. Thank you.
If you could help me out just a bit more, it would be greatly appreciated. We are not sure about the blue wire on the timer diagram, there are three prongs and need to know which one the blue wire should hook to. Also, with the black one on the left of the diagram, there is one wire already wired in, but two prongs to hook the other one into, which do we use? The dryer does not go into the cool down part of the cycle and we keep having to replace the thermal fuse. Also, we can still hear the timer ticking most of the time, even when it’s in the off position, would anyone know which wires control what? Thanks.
