Need help setting personality code for replacement user interface control board on GE Washer (GTW685BSL0WS)

Main Symptom: Cannot enter personality code after replacing User Interface Control Board
What happens & when: After replacing the User Interface Control Board (P/N WH22X35757) I plugged in the washer and all lights started to flash as expected. I pressed and held the start button for several seconds, then released the button. Everything went blank. After I could not get the machine to respond. I need to know both the personality code, and how to get it input.

With the unit not allowing you to program the board, it sounds like a there could be a communication issue. Double check all connections to make sure that there are no loose or damaged wires. If this is not the case then you may have received a faulty board.

Thank you for the input. I have checked all connections and there was no change. I reinstalled the old board and the washing machine works.
How do I return the board?
