MY MAYTAG WASHER MAV6000AWW MAKES A VERY LOUD SCREECHING NOISE WHEN THE SPIN CYCLE COMES TO AN ABRUPT STOP. wHAT COULD BE THE CAUSE OF THIS?

Probably a sticking brake inside the brake housing. Might be due to a tub seal leaking water on it and the brake bearing, it’s a big job to fix properly.
