If the model number for the dishwasher could be shared, it will help to see what might be causing this issue.
model ZDT925SPN5SSS this post was not finished. The complete on is right after this one.
Since the fine filter has to be cleaned each time, is it being cleaned of solid food debris? If it is, are the dishes being scraped clean of solid food before placing them in the dishwasher?
Food particles build up creating a thin layer of “paste” inside the filter. I rinse it out using sprayer on the kitchen faucet. Dishes are rinsed before loading.
If you clean the fine filter with warm soapy water and thoroughly rinse it, does it improve the wash? Sometimes a film can build up in the filter mesh that prevents proper filtering from occurring.
I have to clean it every time. My understanding is that it should need cleaning maybe once a month. My question is whether or not this extreme need for cleaning indicates that the “hidden heater” in the pump is not functioning. I have opened the door mid cycle and the temp is around 100 F. I changed my water heater from 120 to 130F and got some modest improvement in cleaning and some reduction in “slime” growth around door gasket, slides etc.
There is very little info on this heater. Even the specs for the motor/pump unit do not mention that it contains a heater.
