Miele G590 Dishwasher mechanical timer mess up

Brand: Miele
Model Number: G590
Main Symptom: Timer won’t automatically advance through program, motor skip drive works
What happens & when: On any program now

Error Code (if any): n/a
Parts or tests already tried: Unit is very clean and mint, ceased functioning when drain pump leaked. I assumed poorly timer was at fault and took it apart and this model has the timer from hell, dual motor setup made by Crouzet . I’ve managed to get it to work a bit where it will advance through a few steps and jam up again. I think there is some timing issue I am not able to figure out. Yes, taking it apart was a big screw up. Anyone have experience with setting these back up? Of course if I could find a new timer I would just buy that but this machine was made in 1995, and well, finding that part is near impossible unless someone has one sitting around!

I don’t have any information on this model. Maybe some of the other techs who monitor this forum can pitch in.

I made some progress and was at least able to determine the root cause, being the teeth wore down on the lighter colored teal gear (the smaller gear ontop covers it), which moves the dog leg out of the way to allow the cam to advance. Also note my initial thinking on alignment was wrong, and the attached seems correct manually running the mechanism by hand. Note when reassembling, you’d need to push pins through from the back side of the plate to hold the gears while putting it together. I just have nails used here to easily show them. The green gear with the offset pin also needs to be installed in the plastic housing first, and you’d line up the pin as you close up the unit.

With these gears NLA, I am either going to need to pay someone to build a new one or find a new one. First go, I am hoping to find a replacement gear from another Crouzet timer from a different appliance… wish me luck.

I was able to make some more progress and find what is probably the proper alignment pin hole for the ratchet assembly, the timer now advances through drain, and into prewash where it doesn’t advance unless I manually intervene by moving the blue dogleg out of the way so the paw can advance the cam.

Are there any old techs left who would have any sort of service manual info for this or be willing to help? I’d even be willing to send it to someone to rebuild it.
