I would like to know if the microwave is worth fixing or not? The panel works but it will not heat at all. There is also a burning smell when we tried it.
[COLOR=black][FONT=Verdana]Are you saying that the microwave runs and don’t heat? If so the most likely cause on this model is the magnetron tube. If you look at your owners’ manual you may find that this part is in warranty for 10 years. If it is then yes it is worth fixing and if its not still in warranty the repair bill will be high unless you do-it-yourself. Note if it is in warranty you will have to hire a GE warranty service man and you will still have to pay for the labor. [/FONT][/COLOR]
