Microwave Surface Light Keeps Blowing

After nine years the right lower surface light blew so I replaced both the right and left bulbs. Then a week later the right one blew again so I took it out and checked for a short by going to each lead and then to ground and no short ( unit unplugged ). Then I checked the voltage and got 122 volts. I then put a new bulb in thinking maybe it was just a bad bulb. The new bulb then blew a week later. The left one seems to be working fine. Just the right on keeps blowing. Any ideas ?

Is there anybody out there that can even venture a gueus, as I would hate to replace the microwave.

I have a GE Spacemaker that is 5 years old and just suddenly started doing the exact same thing. The right cooktop light blows after only 1-2 days every time I change it. I opened the bottom and found the light fixtures were dry rotted and crumbling. I replaced both fixtures with new GE, OEM parts ($10 each) and they worked for 2 days and then the right bulb blew again. I am planning to replace the wires on the right side. I’m looking for any suggestions also.
