Hi please help
The light bulb went out inside the the microwave.
How do I get to it? Do I remove white grill from top. Then remove small rectangular filter and then the lamp cover?
Is it all accessible or do I have to drop the entire microwave

Johnny,
You’re on the correct track,
Here’s the procedure from the service manual, and the part number you need,
IMPORTANT:
When you work on the microwave
oven, be careful when handling the sheet metal
parts. Sharp edges may be present, and you
can cut yourself if you are not careful.
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. Remove the air grille.
3. To change the oven cavity lamp, lift the tab on
the cover to access the lamp.
4. Unscrew the lamp from the socket. There will
be a dab of silicone that is intended to keep
the bulb from loosening in the socket during
shipping. Be sure to clean off any loose silicone
from the socket before installing a new
lamp.
Reverse procedure and test unit.
Good Luck,

Thank you so much
is it a common problem if the inside bulb goes out. I hope its not a control panel issues, etc.

Johnny,
Yes, it’s more common than a bad control board.
A lot of people, don’t bother replacing them, And in most cases, it’s a more involved procedure.
I’m sure you’ll be OK,
Good Luck,
You would normally need to remove the outer cabinet (cover) to get access to the bulb. The covers found inside are more likely to be the waveguide cover and nothing to do with the lamp.
