microwave door glass shattered

I have GE profile performance JEB1095SB-001 SN FZ958481S microwave oven.
The door works fine but today the glass is shattered completely. Would like to replace it if I can determine the part number from the parts diagram. Also, I would like to have instructions to replace the glass (price $$$??) too.

If it is advisable to replace the whole door assembly ($346.47), I would like to
get instructions on how to replace door.

I would like to save money by buying what is absolutely needed otherwise
if needed to replace door assy I would but need instructions.

I know you posted a year ago. I had the same problem with my identical model GE Microwave oven. Mine was installed in 2004, and it shattered in 2007, and again this past weekend.

It is not something that you can replace yourself- even if you are handy. They don’t ship you a new door- just the glass, and then the old door gets disassembled, and reassembled.

My door is under five year warranty now that it was repaired. Bad design, I think.
